The University chaplaincy is a part of the lutheran
church in Denmark and is ecumenical in its approach.
-
We
welcome students of all denominations and faiths - and those
without one.
-
The
chaplaincy have two chaplains:
Ib Skotte Henriksen and
Christen
Staghøj Sinding.
Councelling
We
are available for councelling - or just for a talk, whenever you
want/need somebody to discuss an issue with, which is important to you and which you feel is difficult
or too much to handle on your own. The issue may be related to faith
or it may not.
No issue is too big and no issue is too small. You are always
welcome to contact us!
We offer councelling on personal, social, study-related
or religious/existential matters and issues. Maybe what you are struggling
with is related to ‘the difficult thing called love’: a girl-/boyfriend
who left you or whom you left behind; the loss of somebody you
love: a father, who died or a friend who became seriously ill.
Maybe it´s difficult settling in in Aalborg or on your study. Maybe
your self confidence has gone. It is you who set the agenda for what
you want to talk about.

We
are bound by absolute professional secrecy and keep no records
or files.

You
may come anonomously, if you prefer that.
-
We
offer activities during university terms as well as councelling.
So far information in detail on our activities are available in
danish only.
Each
semester we have activities in english in co-operation with Erasmus
Student Network. You are always welcome
to contact us with suggestions for english-language activities:
church services, study-groups, discussion forums, excursions or…..you
name it!, and we will see what we can do to accomodate your wishes.
The
chaplains have offices with regular office hours at the campus area
in Fibigerstræde 15, room 2.233 and in Studenterhuset, Gl. Torv 10,
1st floor.

International christian Fellowship at Bethel Baptist Church,

Bethel Baptist Church also have simultaneous translation into English at the regular service in
danish every sunday at 10 o´clock.

Catholic Mass. At 6 p.m every second and fourth Sunday of month
there is Catholic Mass at Sct. Mariæ kirke, Kastetvej 1, 9000

KFS, Aalborg. KFS is and evangelical organisation and a
member of IFES: International Fellowship of Evangelical Students.
KFS have regular activities (such as bible study groups and social

Faith Communities in Aalborg:
Den danske Folkekirke
- The lutheran church in Aalborg - has a number of
congregations spread across the city. Generally there will be
church services in the churches every sunday at 10 o´clock a.m.
There will be worship at other times as well. Please contact the
churches directly to ask for details. Or ask the university
chaplains for help !
